EAG helps out BHCDO

The Antigua and Barbuda Environmental Awareness Group (EAG) yesterday donated four hummingbird feeders along with nectar and bird feed to the BHCDO as it continues its efforts to develop a community tourism park around its 1893-constructed reservoir.

Natahlya Lawrence presented the items to BHCDEO president Timothy Payne who advised that they will be pressed into service immediately.

The gifts distributed through the EAG were a part of an environmental initiative by the largest regional environmental NGO, BirdsCaribbean who through several donors collected the feedrers and appropriate feed to cushion the blow to birds, especially Barbuda’s endemic Barbuda Warbler, following devastating hurricanes to the island las year.

Similar items were being distributed between since April 22nd, 2018 and will continue until May 22nd, 2018, the period when the region celebrates the Caribbean Endemic Bird Festival.
