A few short months and the agricultural plot started at the Barnes Hill Community Reservoir has taken shape beautifully.
Indeed, the group members have already enjoyed some of the fruits of their labour having already reaped okras and seasoning peppers from the plot. Ears of corn will soon be ready and we just noticed small fruit on the young golden apple tree.
Meanwhile, as far as work on the reservoir itself is concerned, group members have uncovered the two sets of pipes formerly used to transport water to the villagers. Next step is to replace those pipes with new ones, probably pvc, and we will have more control of the reservoir’s supply of water.
Has anybody noticed there has been steady work at the new Barnes Hill clinic. If we can a roadworks crew now then we might be really getting somewhere.
